Streamer Adrián Zendejas, better known as “Shifu”, called it “the most important transmission of his career.” After the massive gathering, he headed to the Flow Fest. He had called on his followers to meet at the Monument to the Revolution, promising free caps and a group ride to an urban music and reggaeton festival. However, the callout was massively successful, and hundreds of people on foot and on motorcycles arrived, causing traffic to collapse throughout the Tabacalera neighborhood. A group of attendees, mostly young people, began throwing objects and insults at each other in the Plaza de la República. The streamer failed to reach the meeting point, as dozens of people blocked his path on Insurgentes, at its intersection with México-Tenochtitlán. The situation spiraled even further out of control with the arrival of reggaeton artist “El Bogueto” (Armando Toledo). People who were waiting at the Monument to the Revolution moved towards Insurgentes, causing chaos in the Tabacalera neighborhood, including reports of looting at street vendor stalls. Amid the chaos, a private car drove through Plaza de la República, running over at least five people. Elements of the Mexico City Police reported the arrest of three people who were in the private car. Authorities also impounded motorcycles being ridden by people without helmets. Zendejas broadcast the entire event on his Kick channel, with a production that included several live cameras and drone footage.
